Louise Roe has spotlighted French Connection as her ‘store of the month’ in her new column for Company Magazine this month. This is what the lovely Lou had to say about FC:
A few years back, something happened on the high street. In the late nineties, French Connection launched a naughty campaign with an acronym dangerously close to a swear word (who didn’t own a FCUK T-shirt and get told off for wearing it at school?)
Since then, French Connection’s bright party dresses, boho tops and well-tailored blazers have been a staple of my wardrobe. In fact, I let out a little yelp of excitement when I discovered one of their stores was within spitting distance of my home in LA.
Their summer collection takes its inspiration from Studio 54 and is so bright and retro it’s enough to make Bianca Jagger’s mouth water. This blue jumpsuit made me feel glam but a little bit of a hippy too. Dress it up for the evening or wear at a festival with a straw fedora and wooden platforms (as I’m doing here!) One other must-have is the tan leather waistcoat. It didn’t quite go with this look but I loved it. Woodstock revival here I come!

French Connection favourite Jessica Lowndes was photographed in our Floral Garden Halter Dress for an editorial in this month’s Cosmopolitan Magazine. The 90210 actress and aspiring singer had this to say about the stunning maxi dress: “this look epitomises boho chic. I adore the clashing of the prints and patterns.”
This week Électrique caught up with Rachel Jones, author of the inspiring lifestyle and design blog Black*Eiffel.
