Can you describe yourself in five words?
Excitable, persistent, direct, determined, effervescent.

What’s in your fridge?
Not a lot! Champagne, jam and milk.

What’s been your most memorable fashion disaster?
Thinking I was Bob Marley reincarnated  - I was all woollen headscarves and fisherman pants when I was 20 and living in Milan.

Do you have a party trick?
I can juggle, which seems to shock many of my friends considering I lack any form of coordination and can barely walk in a straight line.

When did you last tell a lie?
When my boyfriend asked if I minded not getting a Christmas present!

Take 5

This week Électrique caught up with Rachel Jones, author of the inspiring lifestyle and design blog Black*Eiffel.

Rachel L Jones

Can you describe yourself in five words?

Optimistic, perceptive, keen, genuine, curious.

What’s your fashion vice?

Black! I have way too much of it in my closet, yet I often find myself seeking more!

Do you have a karaoke song of choice?

I Love Rock and Roll by Joan Jett.

What are your everyday essentials?

Moisturizer, mascara, a green drink, lots of h20 and listening to great music!

When did you last tell a lie?

Probably in airport security when I may or may not have had nail clippers in my bag…

The adorable Canned Fashion blogger, illustrator and street style star Natalie Hughes made us laugh when she answered our questions recently.

Natalie Hughes

Can you describe yourself in five words?
Never knowingly underdressed, slightly neurotic.

What’s been your most memorable fashion disaster?
Once, when I was about 11, I thought it was non-school uniform day. I don’t know what’s worse - that I showed up wearing lime and fluoro orange leggings with a coordinating green sweater, or that it turned out not to be a non-school uniform day. We also had a school trip that afternoon.

What word/words do you overuse?
‘Did you see The Only Way is Essex last night?’
‘My feet hurt.’
‘I’ve wanted it for ages though.’ (pertaining to the impending purchase of something impractical)

Who’s your fashion alter ego?
Cher Horowitz. What can I say? I’m partial to a skirt suit.

Can you tell us a joke?
I’m rubbish at jokes but my brother’s tweets make me L.O.L. (and I’m not just saying that!) Some recent gems, courtesy of @ChristopherHug:

Chilli con carne for breakfast is not sitting well.

That #AwkwardMoment when someone’s wearing the same glasses as you but theirs don’t have lenses.

Finally I can sing ‘Only You’ just like Alison Moyet, possibly the only good thing about having a sore throat.

Électrique has been a longtime admirer of the ultra-chic blog Dead Fleurette, so we were very pleased when the anonymous author agreed to answer our questions.

Dead Fleurette

Can you describe yourself in five words?
Uncompromising flaneur with perfectionistic tendencies.

What’s in your handbag?
I always bring hand salve, my moleskine weekly planner, sunglasses, things that provide escapism such as my iPod and a novel, a pouch that contains money, my credit cards and painkillers, and a set of keys.

What one item of clothing would you save from a fire?
My Isabel Marant Bator coat because it’s unlikely that I’ll ever find it again. I have a perennial penchant for my Isabel Marant boots and A.P.C. tops as well but these items are possible to unearth if my clothes happen to be on fire (haha!)

Do you have a good luck charm?
Unfortunately, I don’t. Perhaps that explains why I’ve had bad luck all my life?

What would you ask for if you were granted one wish?
If I was granted one wish, I would ask for granting infinite wishes!

This week, California girl Bee from Atlantic-Pacific answers our questions.

Bee Take 5

Can you describe yourself in five words?

Quirky, clumsy, sarcastic, fiery, passionate.

What’s in your fridge?

Expired food…and lots of it.

What’s your fashion vice?

Blazers…just taking over my closet.

What song is your go-to for karaoke?

Third Eye Blind ‘Semi-Charmed Life.’

Do you have a party trick?

I have really long fingers and can contort them in a really odd way.  It is more so grotesque than it is impressive, so I only use it in desperate situations!

Take 5

Électrique caught up with new kid on the block, Ashely of Milk Teeths, who was recently voted the Next Big Style Blogger by Refinery29.

Ashley

Can you describe yourself in five words? Playful, bookish, observant, quirky, prompt.

What’s your fashion vice? Brown leather shoes, I’m drawn to them like a moth to a flame. No other colour could ever really compare so I’ve accumulated quite the collection. I should force myself to branch out, though!

When did you last tell a lie? I suppose I creatively retold the truth today…

What are your current inspirations? Ballet dancers and 1950s tourist style.

What song gets you on the dancefloor? Any, and I do mean any, Black Eyed Peas song (guilty pleasure alert).

Électrique were very happy to chat to the lovely Diana, author of the charming blog Miss Moss. Read on to find out what makes her tick (hint: this post is sponsored by the letter J).

Diana Moss

Can you describe yourself in five words?

Sentimental, optimistic, sensible, shy, sarcastic.

Who would you invite to your dream dinner party?

Jon Hamm. No one else need attend (especially not his girlfriend.)

What makes you smile?

… the thought of making Jon Hamm dinner.

What’s your fashion vice?

Jeans! My cupboard is overflowing with them and yet I find myself buying new pairs all the time. I think I have more jeans than I have underwear.

Do you have a karaoke song of choice?

Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’ by Journey.

Take 5

Ella

This week we caught up with the mischievous author of Coco’s Tea Party, Ella.

Can you describe yourself in five words?  Silly, loyal, determined, bossy, organised.

What’s in your fridge? Pesto, cheese, a cucumber that’s seen better days, pineapple juice, Starbucks coffee, pine nuts, chocolate… and on the fridge door there’s a framed photo of Marc Jacobs.

Do you have a party trick? I’m not sure if it counts as a party trick or not but I have the strange ability to memorize celebrity star signs. I can easily roll out a list of famous Arians, Virgos, Scorpios etc at a moments notice!

What’s been your most memorable fashion disaster? When I was about 9 or 10, I had these horrible pale pink cargo pants. They were made from a plastic-y fabric that made a lot of noise when I walked.

Can you tell us a secret? No, because it wouldn’t be a secret anymore.

Follow Ella on twitter.

This week Électrique meets the charming Carrie Harwood, author of the vintage-inspired blog WishWishWish. Read on to discover who her celebrity doppelganger is, her musical preferences and what makes her smile.

wish wish wish

Can you describe yourself in five words?
Playful, independent, hard-working, happy and a little bit weird..

Who would play you in the film of your life?
Completely unrealistic with her being 100 times more beautiful and French but I always adore Audrey Tautou in everything she does. Although I think Coco Chanel got there before me! Strangely, people tell me all the time that I look like Scarlett Johansson (I wish!), so maybe her…

What would be the first sentence of your biography?
Carrie was really very terrible at coming up with first sentences…

What makes you smile?
My cat curled up in a ball, the smell of new clothes, nights in on the sofa, big chunky shoes, picnic adventures and junk food.

What song gets you on the dancefloor?
You might be surprised to hear i’m not really one for going anywhere with a dancefloor…I’d much rather be in the heart of a crowd getting sweaty whilst watching my favourite band! At the moment I’m loving My Chemical Romance’s new album, I listen to Na Na Na on full volume and feel like a superhero, it makes me feel 15 again.
