The adorable Canned Fashion blogger, illustrator and street style star Natalie Hughes made us laugh when she answered our questions recently.

Can you describe yourself in five words?
Never knowingly underdressed, slightly neurotic.
What’s been your most memorable fashion disaster?
Once, when I was about 11, I thought it was non-school uniform day. I don’t know what’s worse - that I showed up wearing lime and fluoro orange leggings with a coordinating green sweater, or that it turned out not to be a non-school uniform day. We also had a school trip that afternoon.
What word/words do you overuse?
‘Did you see The Only Way is Essex last night?’
‘My feet hurt.’
‘I’ve wanted it for ages though.’ (pertaining to the impending purchase of something impractical)
Who’s your fashion alter ego?
Cher Horowitz. What can I say? I’m partial to a skirt suit.
Can you tell us a joke?
I’m rubbish at jokes but my brother’s tweets make me L.O.L. (and I’m not just saying that!) Some recent gems, courtesy of @ChristopherHug:
Chilli con carne for breakfast is not sitting well.
That #AwkwardMoment when someone’s wearing the same glasses as you but theirs don’t have lenses.
Finally I can sing ‘Only You’ just like Alison Moyet, possibly the only good thing about having a sore throat.
We love this cute striped jumpsuit - perfect for a beach holiday, wear with boat shoes and a blazer for the boardwalk or dress it up with seventies-style stacked sandals and a raffia clutch.

Newly engaged actress Amy Smart joined her fiance Carter Oosterhouse for a shopping spree at French Connection’s SoHo store recently, leaving a very happy customer in our Holly Jacket (below).
The Scrubs star also snapped up (L-R) our Bethany Knits Vest, Apollo Crepe Dress and Rainbow Stripe Oversized T-Shirt.

Vogue.com voted blogger Bip Ling one of their best dressed of the week when she stepped out in our Lindsey Stripe Shorts. Bip has also been spotted toting our Circular Wooden Clutch.

Électrique caught up with new kid on the block, Ashely of Milk Teeths, who was recently voted the Next Big Style Blogger by Refinery29.

Can you describe yourself in five words? Playful, bookish, observant, quirky, prompt.
What’s your fashion vice? Brown leather shoes, I’m drawn to them like a moth to a flame. No other colour could ever really compare so I’ve accumulated quite the collection. I should force myself to branch out, though!
When did you last tell a lie? I suppose I creatively retold the truth today…
What are your current inspirations? Ballet dancers and 1950s tourist style.
What song gets you on the dancefloor? Any, and I do mean any, Black Eyed Peas song (guilty pleasure alert).
We love the juxtaposition of leather with a ladylike blouse for work and play. Bare legs and platform sandals make this versatile choice an effortless option for Spring/Summer.

It seems the Skins cast just can’t get enough of French Connection. This season’s standout Dakota Blue Richards, who plays Franky in the series, looks like a modern day Audrey in our favourite Dare to Dream Dress in Issue 2 of Rollacoaster Magazine. Meanwhile, Skins alumni Kaya Scodelario was spotted wearing French Connection on stage with Plan B.
The actress has flaunted not one but two French Connection dresses recently, teaming her white and cream frocks with nude pumps and a loosely pinned hairstyle for effortless red carpet glamour.
